I'm going to try to take pictures of and post some of the kids' school work. I know I won't be able to keep up with all of it through the years, so this will be a way to keep it and be able to look back and see their progress. Here is Mary Ella's work from this week. As you can tell, they talked about the letter A, the number 1, and their unit was about apples. :)
A few funnies:
On Tuesday (their first 'real' day), after I picked Mary Ella up, I told her to come and sit with me so that she could tell me what kind of day she had. She replied, "A Tuesday." Ha! Guess she was listening during calendar time.
On Wednesday nights I am teaching a 4-5 year olds class at church. On the way, I told Mary Ella I would be her teacher at church, and she had the most puzzled look on her face. She goes, "Um, but Mom? You're a nurse, right?" I just laughed. Then after church I asked her if she liked our class and she said, "Well, yes, but you were missing something very important." I asked her what she meant and she said, "A take home basket. Ms. Staci has a take home basket." (That's her teacher at school.)
I can't win! :)
She also had Show and Tell this week and she took a sand dollar from the beach.
She named the sand dollar "Show Choir." All you MHBS people will appreciate that. :)
