You've seen just about all my phone pictures from this week in my Project365 posts.
So these are just a few from the ol' regular camera.
Jenny was able to stay with us for a couple nights over the Christmas break. For those that don't know, Jenny is my BFF from college. We met one night at Moody Music Building, where I spent a lot of time playing piano and singing and writing music. She poked her head into the rehearsal room one night and there I was; she asked if I would play and sing a song for her, and told me she couldn't play piano but that she "loved people who could." And she sat herself right down on that piano bench beside me and there began a friendship that would last forever and ever. She's in Ohio now, teaching art and being the super talented artist/photographer/thrifter that she is, and we only see her twice a year (in fact, every time she comes it seems I'm either pregnant or have just had a baby; she needs to catch me during my skinny seasons at some point!) and we look forward to her visits every time.
She stayed a couple nights before Christmas and then came back for a New Years Eve bash on our couch. Which included, literally, sitting on our couch watching horrible musicians try to sing on stage at various locations across America while young people did what I assume will always be the signature concert move, putting one arm/hand straight into the air and batting it forwards and backwards to the beat. You know you've done it.
Anywho... we made it up to Chuy's for some Mexican on New Year's Day.
It was WARM. Oh, so warm. Mary Ella wore a summer dress and boots.
Jenny left straight from the Summit to make the 9.5 hour trek back to Ohio. Boo.
Not before getting some goodbye shots, though.
"Bye-bye, Aunt Jenny! Brang me a new costume when you come back!"
