And I am also loving the Instagram app - can you tell? I might just do the entire project using this app. The pictures look so different and retro.
You just snap the picture and then it gives you an entire list of 'actions' you can put on your photo. Just pick the one that you like best, and boom, there you go.
The kids are napping now so I went ahead and put together my Day 5 collage.
They started back to school today and on the way to school I was talking to Mary Ella about being kind and about saying nice things even when other children might try to be mean or ugly (she has a problem with 'sass-mouthin' as Minnie Jackson would say!) After my mini lecture Mary Ella said, "Mom. Do you know what I say to Jesus every single night?"
I said, "No, tell me," thinking she's gonna share some of her private 3-year-old prayers with me.
"I tell him... A Savior has been born."
Ha! I'm glad she feels the need to remind Jesus of that simple fact. She is a hoot, that girl.
Anyway, both were in great moods when I picked them up from school (something that doesn't happen too often), so we were able to ride our new trikes down the street and have a playdate with our friends for about an hour before coming back home to nap.
When we first got home, Mary Ella sat at the playroom table downstairs and said with a sigh, "Well, I guess I'll go ahead and eat me some lunch."
I said, "Lunch?! It's 3:40 in the afternoon! You ate lunch at school. What do you want to eat?"
Her reply: "Well. I guess you could just fix me a bowl of chili and some eggs."
Sounds soooo appetizing. Really.
She agreed to a Nutrigrain bar and some yogurt, as did Sambo, and now they are both sleeping away.
I wish we could have this 60 degree weather all winter long.
