While I have a spare minute, here are pictures from Christmas morning...
(This was our fourth and final Christmas celebration this year, so there are more posts to come about the time we spent with family over the past few days! We had a blast, and this mama is exhausted!)
Santa was good to us this year...
Mary Ella's loot consisted of the Minnie tricycle she asked for, as well as the American Girl bitty twins she admired at the store back in October, and lots of fun surprises. She also got her Easy Bake Oven.
Sam received lots of goodies too, including a tricycle like sister's, only his is Mickey Mouse.
Sam spotted the tricycle first, and once he saw it he never paid any attention to his other gifts. It's pretty much been that way all afternoon! He loves pushing the buttons and taking rides around the house.
Baby Morgan also got a surprise - a new car seat (which he/she desperately needed!)
And baby's first robot toy! We love robots around here.
This little monkey woke up around 7:00 am this morning, and although we'd put up a makeshift barricade so that she couldn't get into the living room, she managed to break through and woke me up by screaming, "OH! OH!" I jumped out of bed and ran into the den where she was standing, frozen, admiring her toys. I said, "What is it, Mary Ella?" and she turned around and had HUGE tears running down her face and said, "It's Christmas! He came! Look at what he brought us! It's really Christmas!" I would give ANYTHING to have that moment on video. We thought surely they'd sleep until at least 8 or 9 since we were up so late last night, but she was an early bird and caught us off guard. I quickly took her back to my room and told her we needed to wake Daddy up and get Sambo up before we looked at our presents. She was a good sport and waited patiently as Chad and I dragged ourselves out of bed and got the cameras ready. We woke Sam up and the fun began!
Within about 15 minutes our living room looked like this:
This is after an hour of straight playing.
They opened their stockings last. Lots of goodies.
Lucy was a good girl too this year, and Santa brought her some new squeaky balls.
And apparently I wasn't so bad myself...
Got me a little present too!
