Before you all get too excited... NO. I do not know the baby's gender! Just having some fun with Olioboard, Pinterest and Etsy...
Since I'll be using Mary Ella's old bedding if it's a girl, I won't have quite as much to do, decorating wise, besides adding a few decorative or personalized items to their room. But if it's a boy I'll get to have some fun adding a new crib, new crib bedding, etc.
Sam's nursery looked like this:
Blue walls (can't remember the color name, but it's the Disney brand of paint) with lime green, black and white accents.
The room looks a little different now, although I can't take a picture at the moment because Sam is sleeping. But we gave our glider to my brother and Ashley for Gracie's room; and the changing table is also gone (I use Mary Ella's old one now, which is more of a dresser type with drawers.) And the room is arranged a little differently. But the same colors and patterns are here, so you get the idea!
And if I have a boy, I've had fun designing what I think will be some neat add-ons to this room, including a little bit of bright red! I think it'd be a good addition to the room's colors and it'd allow me to incorporate a lot of new stuff and make the room feel like a new nursery for my little boys.
I will have to put the cribs with the short ends against the wall, so I plan on getting large framed initials like the ones at the bottom of the picture to go above their cribs. (Ignore the names here, those are just the ones I found on Etsy.) Sam has the lime green Anywhere Chair from PBK so a red one would be perfect for a new little brother!
Anyway, this is just some rainy day fun I wanted to share. Hope everyone is having a good week!
