Never again will I blog about feeling okay. I seem to jinx myself when I say that.
Forgive me for being a terrible blogger; I can assure you that I feel bad about it, because this is my favorite time of year and normally I'm chock full of posts about our fall activites, crafts, etc.
The truth is, in the words of my Dad, I can't get a break! I'm battling my 3rd cold of this pregnancy and to tell you the truth, I'm a bit discouraged! I'm definitely glad my children aren't catching any of this crud (like last fall, ugh!) but I'm ready for it to leave me alone. On top of that, Sam is cutting 4 teeth at once and has been up screaming the last 2 nights (one of which we were in a hotel in Atlanta and I thought for sure they were going to kick us out), so I'm running on less than 5 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours. Makes for a no fun Mommy and a messy house, for sure.
I am not sure why I keep getting these colds, which come complete with the sore throat, the horrible sinus headaches and drainage, and then a cough that usually keeps me up all night, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I quit taking my Ester-C vitamin as soon as I got pregnant. I started taking it at the beginning of this year and literally never had even the slightest sniffle all year long; then right when I stopped taking it I get sick... over and over and over again... I'm wondering if I can take it while pregnant. I'm definitely going to ask my doctor on Tuesday. I'm desperate at this point. But like I said, at least my kids are happy and well. I'd rather have repeat colds than repeat croup. Last fall was a nightmare compared to right now so I'm thankful, in spite of my cruddy circumstances (no pun intended.)
We have been able to get out and do some fun things; went to Punkin Day at Mars Hill this past weekend and Mary Ella had a blast. She was also able to go with my Grandaddy on Sunday afternoon to pick cotton, something she'd been asking to do. And this week we made a quick trip to Atlanta (Chad had to fly out of ATL for work) and we went to the American Girl Store for the first time. I'll write more about that when I get my pictures uploaded.
I have been living vicariously through all my friends pumpkin patch pictures and fall festival blog posts! Keep em coming! Here's to a happy weekend!
