I found my frame at the thrift store, of course. (I will never pay more than $3.88 for a frame. The thrift stores are LOADED with them, and after a good wipe down and a coat of spray paint, they are good as new!)
I wanted this to look more home made since it's hanging with the kids' artwork, so instead of using the printable sheet, I used scrapbook paper and construction paper and cut out my own letters (you can use a stencil if you want; I just free-handed them because I like that look.) I took a full sheet of yellow construction paper, then cut a piece of blue paisley scrapbook paper to go on the top half of the yellow paper; I scalloped the edge and cut to size, then used a glue stick to adhere it. Then I used yellow and red scrapbook paper to make the letters, the heart and the 2 blank lines. Frame it and you're done. Ours is hanging in our kitchen.
Chad pretty much writes on it, like, every morning. I mean, he's just that kind of guy.
he totally wrote that.
