Clorox should pay me.

Because I've certainly been sending a lot of money their way lately. Thank you, Clorox wipes, for [attempting to] disinfect my house and for leaving my hands all crackly and dry.
Guess I spoke too soon regarding my kids "hopefully" getting to feeling better. I would not wish the last month we've had on ANYONE! I am definitely trying to count my blessings - we had no hospital stays, no ER visits, no astronomical medical bills - but we have had a lot of sickness, a lot of fussy babies, a lot of prescriptions to fill, and a VERY TIRED MAMA. Yawn.

The weekend of Halloween was the last time I blogged. Sam had a slight cough that I'd hoped would go away. However it only became worse by the following Monday; we ended up at the pediatrician's office Monday morning and turns out he had RSV, bronchiolitis (which is one step away from pneumonia!), and DOUBLE ear infections. Poor baby! Our pedi gave us another albuterol prescription for the home nebulizer and he finally started feeling better at the beginning of this week, thank the Lord.
Last night we were able to get out and do something for the first time as a family in a LONG time, thanks to sickness... we ate dinner with our friends Wes and Jackie. The kids played and we enjoyed some great food and adult conversation. Mary Ella wouldn't touch her food and was just acting really weird. I knew she couldn't be tired because she had taken a 3-hour nap yesterday after school. And Jackie had cooked spaghetti, salad and bread, which is Mary Ella's favorite meal, so I knew it was strange that she wasn't eating it. I talked to my mom on the way home from their house and told her I thought Mary Ella might be getting sick because she acted so strange and moody at their house; and lo and behold, she threw up 4 times in the car on the way home. FOUR TIMES. In my car. All in her car seat. It was so bad that we had to strip all the cushions off her car seat and get the hose and literally hose the thing down. Then we stripped her down, gave her a bath, and I took her crib mattress and put it in her floor so she could sleep on the floor and I could wash all her bedding. She hasn't thrown up since, but today has had fever on and off, the highest being 103.5 when she woke up from a nap. But she's played in between having fevers and she's eaten food and seems to be keeping it down ok, so I'm hoping, praying, begging, pleading, that this was just a 24 hour bug and that this will be the LAST OF OUR ILLNESSES.

On a lighter note, if you get sick, come on down to the Morgan Infirmary, because we've probably got any drug you could possibly ever need.

I promise to post soon with some pictures, a 5-month Sambo update, more Halloween/fall adventures, and some generally happier topics. Happy Wednesday!

Oh! That is terrible! Being a mom when kids are sick is NOT fun! I hope M.E. is completely better tomorrow! Hang in there. It's got to be coming to an end pretty soon!
