Tomorrow's the Day!

So for now, we relax... rrright.

Yesterday we knocked off almost everything on our to-do lists, including mowing the lawn, moving some furniture around, hanging Sam's curtain rod, making lists, making sure our video camera would work (thank God it DOES!), charging camera batteries, and we still managed to spend a few hours at the pool. Since it was a holiday, I decided we should celebrate by doing a little freezer cooking. I had organized my recipes and bought everything I needed to make a few meals, so while Mary Ella napped, Chad helped me, and I couldn't have done it without him.

I don't think I ever updated after my last freezer cooking experience, but it is absolutely WONDERFUL if you have time to do it and room to store everything. Just knowing that all you need to do for dinner is pull out a casserole dish and stick it in the oven is SO GREAT, and I imagine I'll think it's even greater in a couple weeks when I'm pulling my hair out and up to my ears in laundry and diapers! Yesterday we made 2 baked zitis, 2 spaghetti pies, 2 shepherd's pies, 2 chicken spaghettis, and 2 chicken & rice casseroles. I used different recipes than I did last time because I wanted to try some new stuff. (Recipes will be posted soon, I promise!) So all in all we had 10 casseroles that will each feed us twice, making for about 20 days worth of meals. And it only took us 2.5 hours from start to finish, including cleaning the kitchen.

After the madness we walked over to Les and Jamie's and grilled hamburgers and ate Jamie's famous banana pudding. Mary Ella entertained herself by acting like a 4 month old and crawling into their baby's exersaucer. We had a great time as usual.

Here's the last picture of me and Jamie pregnant together... she is 20 weeks and I am 39.

Today I am finishing a few loads of laundry, sweeping and mopping the floors, and waiting on Mom to get here with his diaper bag and curtains. At some point I guess I need to pack a hospital bag for me and the little Sambo. I will try to post completed nursery picture tonight after we hang the curtains! We have to be at the hospital at 10am tomorrow morning and if they are on schedule Sam will be here around noon or so. Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow; specifically for a healthy baby boy, a smooth delivery, and for my pain management afterwards! We'll update as soon as we can!
