Well, sadly I have nothing new or exciting to report from the week at the Morgan household, other than we have stayed WELL, Mary Ella is back at school, and I am feeling large and in charge. Go figure.
On Tuesday Mary Ella went to school and I didn't have to work so I went to Target and bought groceries. Usually I am a WalMart girl, because I love the Great Value brand and they make just about anything you could ever want now. Including the most. delicious. M&M. cookies. ever. That I can't eat right now. Anyway, Target seemed to have the best deals and coupon match-ups this week so I went there instead and ended up saving $33 because of coupons. Has anyone used their newborn diapers? I never used them with Mary Ella but I LOVE their diapers now (we are in size 4's) and I wonder if the newborn ones are just as great. I'll have to try them out once I run out of my swaddlers. You just about can't beat those swaddlers, though.
So on Wednesday we went "junkin" at the thrift store in Alabaster and I came away with a few finds, including "Bringing Up Boys" by James Dobson, the "What to Expect" book for a preggo friend, 2 books on potty training, some brand new ABC flash cards for Mary Ella, and my greatest find ever - this puffy dollhouse from Pottery Barn! This is a $69 toy that I scored for $6.88. Yep. And it came with all the parts and was in great condition. After a good washing and a wipe down with some Dreft cloths, this thing was good to go and Mary Ella LOVES it. Anyway, I spent about $15 total at the thrift store so I'd call that a good day.
Chad flew out of town this morning and will be gone until tomorrow, so I decided to come up to Florence to spend the night. I am going to leave Mary Ella here over the weekend to spend time with her Mimi and Poppa before she relinquishes the title of being the only grandchild. Chad and I have some organizing and nesting agenda to take care of (he doesn't know this yet) so it'll be good to get a few days to check those tasks off my list. They are mostly minor things like closet organization and Hannah Home donations and getting rid of junk, etc. I'm sure he'll be so excited to come home to a honey-do list. :)
