I had my 35 week appointment today and finally got to see my little boy again. And he has GROWN! Here are a few of the ultrasound pictures. I don't know how to use our scanner so these are a little fuzzy.
Private Parts (He's still a boy, as you can see!)
Sweet nose and lips (turn your head sideways to see it more clearly! This one is my favorite. I think he looks just like Mary Ella.)
I asked the ultrasound girl to see if he had any hair and he looks like he does, so maybe all this indigestion will be worth it! Everything looked good and he is measuring about a week ahead of time. Right now he weighs 6 lbs 4 ounces! That is pretty big for 35 weeks. But considering that Mary Ella was 8 lbs 5 ounces at this point, he's still small compared to her. My amniotic fluid is also at the high end of normal so they are going to do another ultrasound as well as an NST next week to measure my fluid and see how he's doing. It's fairly common to have high fluid levels when you have gestational diabetes because your baby urinates more often, and 20% of your fluid is made up of your baby's urine - gross, I know!
I am going every week now so the countdown is on! I should be hearing from the hospital at some point this week to confirm my c-section date and time. Most likely the 1st or 2nd of June is what I am thinking. I am definitely getting more excited. Yesterday I was in his nursery all afternoon organizing and picking out things for his hospital bag and today I washed my last load of his laundry in some good ol' Dreft.
