Just letting you know

... that I ate Mexican last night. Cheater, cheater pumpkin-eater. Although I kind of wish I had eaten a whole pumpkin instead of all those tortilla chips. Oh well.

I did get in a killer 30-minute workout on the elliptical this morning. It felt soooo good because I was doing interval training, which not only kicks your metabolism into high gear but makes you have that sweat-pouring-down-your-face kind of workout. It was great and afterwards I ran upstairs and woke Chad up (at 7:30, mind you) and I was like, "Look at my FACE! That was AWESOME!!!!" He opened his eyes and looked at me like I was crazy. But seriously, it felt THAT good. More on interval training tomorrow, as that will be my official update. Not looking for any poundage lost since I scarfed down that quesadilla last night, but hey, at least I'm exercising right?

Someone once told me it's fine to eat Mexican, just eat more authentic mexican. They hardly use cheese, so instead make black bean and corn salsas, and sub black or pinto beans in for some of the meat when you're making tacos or burritos. You can do it!

Please update this letting everyone know that not only did you do the elliptical before church, but that you came home and did 50 minutes of intervals jogging in the neighborhood. You're a rockstar and now my husband is mad because I want to be you and cook healthy!

HAAAA! Jamie you are HILARIOUS. You are already JILLIAN FREAKIN MICHAELS so just keep doing what you're doing. I do need to blog about that run, though. I am still feeling it.

it's only been two days and i'm sick of lettuce and fruit. the only cereal i can have is kashi go lean. let me tell you, i can tell why it's okay to eat, because you burn more calories chewing it than is actually in it to begin with. no joke- my jaw hurt. but, no pain is no gain i don't guess.

you look beautiful the way you are, so don't stress about that quesadilla. next time, just take me with you.

Amy, if I were you I would get the "You on a Diet" cookbook or the South Beach cookbook. Both of these diets are also low-glycemic-index diets. Basically allowing the right carbs, a good amount of fiber, etc. Having a cookbook and actual recipes to use makes it easier because you don't have to resort to salads all the time. Don't give up!
